Sanjay Manjrekar on India’s Depth After Asia Cup 2025 Win vs Pakistan

Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar lauded India’s dominance and depth in talent following their Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 clash against Pakistan. Despite several mistakes in the field and a rare off day for the bowling unit, India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, still registered a comfortable four-wicket victory.

Reflecting on the contest, Manjrekar said in an Instagram video, “India wasn’t at their best, clearly. I mean, just imagine Bumrah being India’s most expensive bowler. He had an off day, India dropped three catches, so they were well below their best, and despite that, they won comfortably against Pakistan.”

India vs Pakistan: Class and Depth on Display

India’s batting order once again proved decisive, while Pakistan struggled to find stability in their lineup. Manjrekar highlighted how the difference in quality between the two sides continues to show.

“It again shows the big gap between India and Pakistan just on sheer ability and skills. Happy for Pakistan, they were slightly better, so there was some spark there, but you could see how the Indian bowlers still managed to claw things back. Why? Because there wasn’t depth of class in Pakistan batting, and in the end, Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, the way Tilak Varma finished.

It’s just a limitless supply of exceptional players,” he explained.

India’s Rising Strength in T20 Cricket

The former cricketer concluded by emphasizing India’s superiority in the shortest format. “So, yeah, India, even in that match when they were not at their best, still showed all of us how much, how superior they are to Pakistan and what a formidable T20 team India has become.”

India’s win further underlined their reputation as one of the most balanced and consistent teams in the tournament. With world-class options in both batting and bowling, the Men in Blue continue to outclass their rivals on big stages.
