Australia women’s team captain Alyssa Healy reacted to the episode, saying England’s tactics had clearly worked. “If teams go hard at Gill, it can rattle him. If England saw that crack, they did well to exploit it,” Healy said on the Willow Talk Podcast. She added that it’s common for teams to target the opposition captain to break their rhythm and apply pressure.
Changes Expected for India, Dawson Returns for England
India are now trailing 2-1 in the five-match series and are expected to make changes to their playing XI for the fourth Test in Manchester. Some underperforming players may be dropped in hopes of improving the team’s balance and performance.
Meanwhile, England have named Liam Dawson as a replacement for Shoaib Bashir, who has been ruled out due to injury. Dawson, who last played a Test eight years ago, could make a surprise return at Old Trafford.
