In one notable instance, Archer nearly hit Pant on the toe again. Unfazed, Pant responded with a powerful boundary on the very next ball, drawing loud cheers from fans and teammates alike.

Though England took control later in the day, Pant’s fighting spirit lifted India’s morale. His knock will be remembered not just for the runs but for the grit and heart shown on one good foot.
