Earlier, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots were asked to bat first and were put under pressure by some well-executed bowling from Guyana Amazon Warriors. The Warriors bowled with a plan and kept chipping in with regular wickets which didn't help St Kitts and Nevis Patriots' approach to a big total. Later in the chase, Guyana Amazon Warriors smoked with the bat, thanks to the debutant, Ben McDermott and West Indies' finest, Shai Hope.

On a two-paced pitch, we feel the pitch got a bit better to bat on under the lights, but still, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots were ordinary in their defence. Jason Holder surprised everyone by not bowling inside the Powerplay, which was not helped by his bowlers' bowling a lot of freebies. They were belted and hammered throughout the innings. Waqar Salamkheil bowled well in the middle phase but lacked consistency. Kyle Mayers bowled just two overs despite getting some movement initially.
