...Presentation...
Saint Lucia Kings were front-runners to win the match! Their bowlers did an amazing job to keep Guyana Amazon Warriors under pressure but when it mattered the most, Saint Lucia Kings gave up to let the game slip away. Earlier in the day, Saint Lucia Kings posted 185 but if you rewatch the last five overs, they scored only 43 runs off it, clearly losing the momentum and a chance to finish with a much bigger total. The 90-run stand between Ackeem Auguste and Roston Chase was the highlight of the innings. Eventually, it turned out not to be enough as Guyana Amazon Warriors chased it down in the final over.
Wow! What an end to a fantastic match. It had all! Jitters, spice and a plate full of drama. Guyana Amazon Warriors needed it to win anyhow and Quentin Sampson helped them by playing a wonderful knock at the top of the order. He set the platform with his 76 off 39 balls, but after he fell, Guyana Amazon Warriors lost four wickets in four overs, reeling at 133/6. Although Guyana Amazon Warriors looked under pressure, they weren't nervous with a long tail under their belt. It came down to Moeen Ali and Dwaine Pretorius in the final over. The former was run out but Dwaine Pretorius went on to hit the match-winning runs.
Drama! Absolute drama as the game comes to an end. Dwaine Pretorius gives a death stare to David Wiese as he wins the game. Now he has a word, and they eventually end with a handshake. David Wiese is on his haunches as he unfolds what just happened. Earlier, it was Tabraiz Shamsi vs Shai Hope. Now, David Wiese vs Dwaine Pretorius. Oh, and also, more importantly, if you are thinking why so much drama in one match, Guyana Amazon Warriors needed to win to go through the playoffs and they have managed to get the job done.
