Right then, that is it from this exciting game, where Southern Brave moves to third spot with an extra game played, while Welsh Fire remains at the bottom. However, the action does not stop here, as we have another game coming up in the Men's Hundred 2025 shortly. It is between the London Spirit and the Northern Superchargers. The toss is done, with Supercharges opting to bowl. You can just switch tabs to enjoy all the coverage of that match. Cheers!
Hilton Cartwright is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his match-winning knock. He says that the crowd got a great game. Adds that he just tried to take the game on and it worked. Mentions that they had a couple of guys who came in the side, and they bowled really well. Praises Jordon for bowling beautifully and says it was an all-round performance from the team.
Presentation Time...
Southern Brave were under pressure early as they leaked runs in the Powerplay, but Jofra Archer swung things back with two big wickets in the final set of that phase, after Craig Overton had already removed Bairstow. The middle overs slowed down, with Chris Jordan showing great fight despite battling a groin issue. The pacers kept chipping in, but the real turning point came when James Coles delivered a brilliant 10-ball spell, conceding just 10 runs and striking twice to shift the momentum. From there, Jordan held his nerve at the death, closing out the game in style.
Earlier, Southern Brave managed to put up a competitive total, thanks to a blistering 19-ball fifty from Hilton Cartwright that turned out to be the game-changer. For Welsh Fire, every bowler chipped in with a wicket, with Matt Henry and Chris Green standing out as the most impressive of the lot, picking up a couple each to restrict the opposition.
Welsh Fire started brightly with Jonny Bairstow’s quick cameo, though it didn’t last long. Steve Smith also played a few crisp strokes to make good use of the Powerplay, but his departure triggered a collapse as they slipped from 24/1 to 50/4 in no time. Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Saif Zaib tried to rebuild with a 32-run stand, but once Zaib fell, the burden was all on TKC. He fought hard but kept losing partners, and eventually, his wicket sealed their fate. The lower order showed some resistance, but the chase ultimately proved a step too far.
Southern Brave stays alive in the playoffs race! They were on the back foot for most of the chase, but held their nerve when it mattered the most, pulling off a dramatic finish at the death. For Welsh Fire, it’s heartbreak yet again - seven losses in a row now against the Brave, and they only have themselves to blame. The frustration of another missed chance keeps them stuck at the bottom, while Brave walk away with relief and belief. After the Brave women pulled off a thriller earlier, the men have matched the drama to complete a stunning double and give their fans plenty to celebrate.

Good bowling! Nails the yorker, on middle and leg, Matt Henry jams it out to long on for a run. 7 in 2 now. The next ball has to go for a 6 or 4 to take some pressure off.
