Quinton de Kock (born 17 December 1992) is a South African international cricketer and one of the most explosive wicketkeeper-batsmen of his generation. A former captain of South Africa across all formats, de Kock currently represents South Africa in T20 Internationals and plays domestically for the Titans. He was honored as the Cricketer of the Year at Cricket South Africa’s 2017 Annual Awards and remains one of the most impactful openers in world cricket.
Early Life & U-19 Cricket
Born in Johannesburg, de Kock attended King Edward VII School and played club cricket for Old Eds. His talent was evident early on, leading to his selection in the South Africa squad for the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He scored 284 runs in the tournament, including centuries against Namibia (126) and a match-winning 95 against Bangladesh.
Domestic & Franchise Cricket Career
