Rashid Khan Arman, born on 20 September 1998 in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, is one of the most influential cricketers to emerge from Afghanistan. Known for his lethal right-arm leg-spin and sharp cricketing mind, Rashid has played a pivotal role in putting Afghan cricket on the global map. He currently captains Afghanistan in T20 Internationals and plays in major franchise leagues around the world, including the IPL, BBL, PSL, and MLC.
Rashid grew up in Jalalabad in a large family with ten siblings. Due to war in Afghanistan, his family temporarily moved to Pakistan, where he nurtured his passion for cricket. Idolizing Shahid Afridi and AB de Villiers, Rashid initially focused on batting before mastering leg-spin bowling.
