Ravindra Jadeja: India’s Rockstar All-Rounder

Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja (born 6 December 1988) is an Indian cricketer, widely recognized as one of the greatest all-rounders in cricket history. A left-handed batter and left-arm orthodox spinner, Jadeja currently plays for India in ODIs and Tests. Renowned for his exceptional fielding, lethal bowling, and impactful lower-order batting, he is a complete package in modern cricket.

In 2025, Jadeja became the longest consecutively reigning No. 1 Test all-rounder in ICC Rankings. He played a pivotal role in India’s ICC Champions Trophy wins (2013 & 2025) and was part of the 2024 T20 World Cup winning team, after which he retired from T20Is.

Born into a humble Rajput family, Jadeja’s father wanted him to join the Army, but young Ravindra was drawn to cricket. The tragic loss of his mother in 2005 nearly ended his cricketing dreams, but he persevered. His sister Naina is a nurse, and he continues to reside in Jamnagar.
