Yuvraj made his mark in India’s domestic circuit playing for Punjab and quickly climbed the ranks due to his aggressive style and athleticism.

His performance in the 2000 ICC U-19 World Cup, where he was named Player of the Tournament, fast-tracked his entry into the Indian national team.

International Career
Yuvraj made his ODI debut in 2000 against Kenya and announced himself with a brilliant 84 against Australia in the 2000 ICC Champions Trophy. Over the next decade, he became a key figure in India’s limited-overs setup and occasionally played in Test matches as well.

His finest moments came on the biggest stages. In the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, he hit six sixes in an over off Stuart Broad and played crucial knocks throughout the tournament. In the 2011 ICC World Cup, he was named Player of the Tournament, scoring 362 runs and taking 15 wickets, helping India lift the trophy after 28 years.
