Nicholas Pooran, the skipper of the MI New York says that he knew it was a must-win match. Continues that he had belive in his team and he is really enjoying his time with this franchise. He reckons that the 150-run mark would win the game by an easy margin, but he will take this win any day. Ends up saying that he very impressed with his bowling attack under such pressure.
Kieron Pollard wins the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that he is happy to get the win and he is also very satisfied with the efforts of his team. Also says that his penultimate over was very crucial to win the match and therefore he uses his experience. Ends up thanking all the Caribbean supporters for coming and cheering for the team.

Jason Holder, the skipper of Los Angeles Knight Riders, says that the bowlers did an excellent job. He reckons that they didn't bat well and on top of that, it was a tough pitch to bat on. Continues that Unmukt Chand was struggling in the death overs, and that is when they decided to get one of the good hitters. Ends up saying that they have some positives out of the game, but they need to work hard as well.
Los Angeles Knight Riders needed 44 runs off 30 deliveries when Unmukt Chand and Sherfane Rutherford were set on the crease. But after that, the bowlers of Men in Blues pulled themselves up from the grave and bowled with tight line and lengths, leaking no unnecessary boundaries. Kieron Pollard bowled exceptionally well in the penultimate over, giving five runs and the important wicket of Rutherford. However, Unmukt Chand, just before the last over, got retired hurt and was looking devastated by the decision. Jason Holder, who took his place, failed to offer any boundaries in the last over, but credit to Ehsan Adil for defending 16 runs off the last over, against pinch hitters like Holder and Andre Russell.
What a rollercoaster of an event it was! Pure entertainment for the cricket lovers! The start of the second inning started as a mix-up between the two openers for Los Angeles Knight Riders, where Andre Fletcher was hunted down in form of run out. But after that event, Unmukt Chand took the situation in his hands and had a knock of his life with the support of Alex Hales. After the departure of Hales, Sherfane Rutherford fills the shoes to support Chand.
