The Texas Super Kings delivered a commanding performance to secure a crucial win, moving up to second place on the table. Batting first, they posted a formidable 87/2 in the allotted five overs, thanks to some explosive hitting from Shubham Ranjane and Donovan Ferreira. In response, the Freedom struggled to gain momentum. Nandre Burger made an immediate impact, taking two wickets in his only over, while Akeal Hosein and Noor Ahmad chipped in with one wicket each and kept things tight with disciplined bowling. Saurabh Netravalkar was the only wicket-taker for the Freedom. With this result, the Freedom slips to third place, while the Super Kings strengthen their playoff push.
In a high-octane five-over contest, the Texas Super Kings delivered a clinical all-round performance to outclass the Washington Freedom by 43 runs. Set a stiff target of 88, Freedom got off to a brisk start but were quickly derailed, losing two wickets in the opening over. Akeal Hosein then tightened the screws with a masterful over, tying Mitchell Owen in knots and leaving the Freedom reeling at 18/3 after two overs. Glenn Phillips offered brief resistance with some powerful strikes, but it was too little, too late. The Super Kings maintained complete control as Freedom limped to 44, falling well short of the target. A commanding win for TSK in a rain-trimmed contest.
